NEC is going to release one more 24-inch PC monitor but this time with the support for an Ultra HD 4K resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. Entitled MultiSync LCD-EA244UHD-BK, it is characterized by an outstanding visual performance.
NEC LCD-EA244UHD-BK employs an updated IPS panel, equipped with GB-R backlight. The latter ensures a wider color gamut than traditional W-LED analogues. The panel is specified by 6 ms response time, widest viewing angles (178/178 degrees H/V), 350 cd/m2 brightness, and 1000:1 static contrast. Two in-built speakers (1 W each) provide for a high-quality audio production.
The connection with the video sources might be realized via six video ports: a pair of DVI-D, two DisplayPorts, and a couple of HDMI ports with MHL support. The availability of four USB (v.3.0) ports promotes for the connection with peripherals. The implementation of a multi-functional stand base allows for ‘comfort adjustment’. The user is able to alter the height, tilt and aspect of the screen, as well as turning it to the Pivot mode.
The most nameworthy peculiarities pertained to the model are the availability of two sensors. The first one, light sensor, helps in adjusting the brightness of backlit, depending on the environment conditions. The second one, presence sensor, defines the presence of a user at the monitor; in case of his absence, it switches the screen off.
